Government policy on land administration; goals and needs; transformation into a modern cadastre
A land cadastre exists for the entire territory of Slovenia, these records were established during the time of the Austrian monarchy. Approximately 13% of the country has been measured again over the past forty years, partly numerically. Records of land owners, the land register, were established for the entire territory of Slovenia. The land register is kept manually and does not completely harmonize with the land cadastre. The attribute part of the land cadastre is kept on computer, data are collected into a common database at the national level, updating is being performed with diskettes. Computer keeping of the graphic part of the land cadastre is in the testing phase in individual branch offices of the Surveying and Mapping Authority. The main goal is to establish new measurements of the entire country.
