Evaluation of the cadastral reform in Denmark : training the old lady for the skateboard
Enemark, Stig
With abstracts in English, German and French.
The Danish cadastre was established just 150 years ago, and has been maintained country wide ever since. In recent years a cadastral reform has been carried through, in order to adopt the old juridical cadastral concept for a modern technological and managerial approach. The cadastral legislation is totally reviewed, the cadastral register is computerized and the computerization of the cadastral maps is ongoing. The concept of a modern cadastre has to face the challenge of being an effective tool for land registration as well as being an efficient tool for land use management. The Danish cadastral reform, legal as well as digital, tries to meet that challenge.
